Amid the current economic downturn and the outbreak of swine flu, the global aviation / airlines industry continues to remain in "intensive care", the IATA said on Thursday even though air passenger traffic showed an improvement in July, mainly due to deep discounting. The passenger traffic for July declined by 2.9 per cent compared to the same month in the previous year.
